I was six and lived half a World away in Switzerland learning the basic math, not geography let alone about Bonneville - thinking of building a model of Goldenrod; are there any top-front-side view photos/drawings available?

I've got a few copies of one of the original black and white prints of the car and the drivers.  Send me an address (PM okay) and I'll get one in the mail to you.

You can buy a copy of the SAE paper on the Goldenrod. it is titled " The Aerodynamic Design of the Goldenrod- To increase Stability, Traction and Speed by Walter H. Korff. The # is 660390 form the Mid-Year Meeting, Detroit Michigan June 6-10, 1966. There are some great Pictures along with plenty of tech data for most info junkies~~!!! I have had these papers so long, I don't remember the cost.

I remember reading about Goldenrod in one of my grade school library books. Thought it was cool but nothing much more than that.  After all it happened 16 years before i was born. Last winter I took my girls to the Henery Ford museum because I'm a cool dad and cool dads do stuff like that with their kids. I turn the corner into one of the galleries and Boom! Goldenrod is just sitting there all shiny like across from the Oscar Meijer Weinermobile. Wow! So I spent about an hour leaning as far as I could agains the velvet ropes while my kids spent all my change squishing weinermobile likenesses in pennies at the nearby penny squisher.

We have a grocery chain up here called Meijer. Pronounced the same. Always confused me. Obviously still does.

Much to my chagrin, I never got around to buying a copy of the Goldenrod VCR or DVD(?) that Bill was selling before he passed.
If anyone has a extra or can make me a copy I would certainly make it worth your time.

The display of Goldenrod at the Ford Museum is clean, simple and elegant.

Pay your money, walk 50 feet and there it is just to the right.

Bret Kepner took Marlo and I to see it last winter.

Thank you for the info on Goldenrod - I shall renew my SAE membership to get the material for less; found a great many other things on SAE's listings.  While searching the net for Goldenrod I came across these photos of a fictional Ferrari Streamliner model; just two photo here and more on this website  http://www.miniwerks.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=903&whichpage=1  -  half way down a great "fictional" (I say it again) story about this LSR Ferrari.

I have the DVD and a signed t-shirt - not for sale, treasured items!

I called Bob right after I saw the Goldenrod at the Henry Ford museum and apologized for drooling all over it!  :-D

For my 7th or 8th birthday a group of childhood friends gave me a copy of Hot Rod's 1965 Yearbook - which I still have - containing a great article on Goldenrod.  I think that was the genesis of my LSR interest...
