And the po-lice were testing and racing around until noon today, too. Now they're gone -- but the parachutists (parashootists?) are jumping out of an airplane this afternoon.
Must be about 40-50 bikes here -- maybe three dozen cars (although I haven't looked that hard at the lines, there have been cars in the tech line all day). Looks like a good turnout no matter what, though.
We had a bit of a rain sprinkle for about 5 minutes an hour ago -- and then it stopped, right as everyone got their race vehicles covered up. We're back to gentle clouds with sun shining through and nice 10-19 mph tailwinds. I looked at the forecast just now - 50% chance of showers tomorrow with temps in the upper 70s and strong tailwinds. Sunday -- nicer, cooler, headwinds. Which do you want -- dry track or tailwind? Pick your day and run.
Driver meeting at nine (or is it eight?) and then when the safety crews get here -- we can race. I'll be riding the ZX15P this weekend -- Nancy doesn't care to do so here where stopping is a bit more challenging, so it's up to me to maintain the family honor.
Dang -- looks really dark over there upwind -- maybe I better take down the antenna for this 'puter before the lightning finds me. Later - - -
