28' deep by 32' wide. 10' wide doors -- NICE! 220V for the compressor - and also so the 6kw generator can feed 220 back into the house during power outages. Propane for the unit heater, although the new wood boiler will heat the garage, too. The cedar siding, soffits/fascia, even the shingles match the house -- making the package look nicer. I only got half-way around before racing season, but I'm putting fake rock on the two courses of concrete block -- looks nicer that way.
Here are a few shots of me and the work. To make sure I've got the mortar right I need to taste it, by the way.
PS Dr. G, you're right. I originally said it'd be a fine size -- because we were thinking of selling this place, and a garage would be a nice thing to have in the "package". Then the housing market went to hell in a handbasket -- and we're here after all. Had I planned on staying I would have had the garage be at least half again bigger.
I've got the (fake) rock - in the barn for the winter. Next year I've got only half a garage to finish.
