I just met Rizzi and her Dad ... She thanked me for being "her soldier", saluted and presented me with a coin that states that.

Joe, I met Rizzi and her dad at the SW  drivers meeting and also got the coin. I had talked to him on the internet several times. She is a great kid as is Bill.

Hey Joe...do you have any run info for the new married man Larry Cason? Sour Dough Racing? If you run in to him would you tell him that Joe from ACME sends his congratulations on the broom honeymoon and best wishes on the salt...thanks!

Some from Pre-Stage.

First, Pre-Stage itself.  The lanes are for "Run What Ya Brung", Short Course, International Short Course and Long Course.

The Stuart Hooper Velocette from Australia...he ran 145 yesterday and is trying to become not only the "World's Fastest Velocette" but the "World's Fastest 1-Lung Bike."  I don't know exactly what that record is but the team intimated that it was around 148 or so.

And a coupla vans that caught my eye.  First, apparently the inhabitants of the Ford van didn't "bust" cuz they're here.

Finally, the Coconut Customs tow van...there was some question about the tubes attached to the rear axle, which they claimed were full of salt for ballast, but others were suggesting that they might be JATO tubes...I dunno...  Ohh...I'm also not sure about that claim of "Free Candy."  I know some cops who might just take that entirely wrong and apply the handcuffs real quick.

In '02 Keenan Tatro popped off a 149.045 on his 500cc Harley.  Thats the fastest single I know of.

Any word on Lars?
Get off the stove Grandad.  You're too old to be riding the range.

Thanks for the info on Tatro's record.  Last time I saw Lars, he had the carb off the bike and was invoking some sort of Viking curse/spell in hopes of getting the bike to run...which it hasn't done yet.
