"Refresh" means about the same on either a Wintel or Apple computer, Stan.  It's simply you clicking the button that's (Usually) shaped like a curly arrow, on or near the top of the page.  What it does is ask the server to send that page over again - nothing more.  Often it sends something that's different (it's "refreshed") because your computer has stored the original page since you first booted up/turned it on this time.  It does that to save time in loading - but it means you'll see what was on there earlier today, not the absolute latest.

Therefore -- during the Shootout, for instance, when I'm posting constantly -- viewers press the refresh button to see my latest posts since the posts otherwise wouldn't show up 'til the viewer changed away from the page and went back.

Understand?  I hope so -- I'm not sure I do now that I've explained it.  I think I got it right, though :?

Slim --

But I turned it off and went to the store.  Started it back up from scratch.

Now I've done as you told -- and it's there.

That being said, how do I ever get new posts (as I always do) when I restart my computer?

Oh well, it works (or at least the heading is there now).

Thanx,
Stan

Crank the handle on the side of your computer faster.  It should show up then.
Get off the stove Grandad.  You're too old to be riding the range.

14 car records and 5 bike records. Actually, there were more records than that as some of the competitors brokew their Saturday record again on Sunday.

Even tho I haven't been going to El Mirage in the last few years I thought it was a great meet. The weather was perfect and the light rain Friday night made for heavy "dust" which cleared quick. In the last 2 months we made 6 passes which would normally been a year for us. Came close to a record which we were hoping for but learned a lot with that many passes.

I like to thank the entire Board of Directors and all the volunteers for their service this year especially D3 who felt 2 years ago he was in over this head. He has done an outstanding job and I'm sure his predecessor will do the same...........JD

Unh, J.D. -- it's Jon, the comma cop guy, a/k/a Slim.  "Predecessor" is the one who came before, so here it'd mean whoever had the D3 job before he got it.  Perhaps you meant to say D3's "successor".

Okay, over to you.
