ECTA has their own rule book but the SCTA-BNI rule book is a must have to be sure.

Actually Glen, I believe the ECTA uses the SCTA Rulebook, It's the Aussies who have developed their own. You may note some very similar passages in both which are merely coincidental (yeah right!)

The ECTA had developed its own rulebook.  If I remember correctly, it follows the SCTA book pretty closely in many respects -- to allow racers from one venue to compete at the other without finding too many surprises.  There are some differences, though -- so you'd be wise to get the ECTA rulebook and follow the dictates therein if you're going to compete at Maxton.

As an example (and this is only one difference) -- at Bonneville bikes don't need a front brake; at Maxton, bikes running over 175 DO need front brakes (MUCH SHORTER stopping distance at Maxton!).

I'm not trying to represent ECTA -- just trying to emphasize that having (and using) both rulebooks is wise (read:  necessary).
