Rules Question
« on: January 18, 2006, 01:24:59 AM »
I suppose there is this collective sigh of relief that the 2006 rules haven't changed in the area you are worried about.

And a collective &*%$# when they do.

I gave a sigh of relief.

My question concerns how quickly SCTA reacts to rules that aren't very clear and you drive through one of those holes.

I see a loophole that I can use. It's one of those "that wasn't our intent" kind of things.

If you use that loophole legally, how quick will SCTA react to ban it? Or just as important, even if legal, will they let me use it? (It's very obvious.)

What is it? Heck, I'm not giving it away! Just go on the fact that it guarantees some speed that SCTA didn't intend on you having.
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

Just for the record

The longest lasting satisfaction is to prevail without cheating and take least advantage of the rule.
When they develop rules that have your name on them, that lasts longer than any class record ever will.
When you do a first, that can never happen again.
If a performance mark can last 20 years or so, it was probably a good one.
You don't have to go 400mph to race or even 200.
Longevity is the real mark and nobody has to get hurt.

all rule interpretations are subject to final approval
by the tech inspectors on the salt............

htey have final decision.........

intent or no intent.........

the decision is deciding when and where you want the
loophole to close.............

ya can query scta about areas of legalities before ya spend
a year and a trip..........

but plan a-d may provide the best fireworks.........thankfully
there isnt much foilage to catch fire.........most of them are all
dried up..........

"Gotcha" is not a real common phrase that is used around racing, but it should be well understood.

OBTW: If you check my post count and point totals, you will realize I do a lot of this for free because I am such a nice guy.  LOL

Kent, are you starting a rumor  Jack is a nice guy. I think I need a drink to get my brain fuzzy enough to assorb this fact. Next you will have him wearing a suit with his collar on backwards. Or is that a flea collar.

Never fear Jack, we won't let false rumors about you being a nice guy get around. But remember the propster, you know mister wonderful or was that we wonder what he is.
