Cars are on the way back - we flew back yesterday. the final results are:
ShopGirls 4th place in the Diesel Prototype category with 520MPG (+10.6%) 1st-1290MPG; 2nd-703MPG; 3rd-683MPG. Yet the Girls won again top honors int he safety award = $1000 check!
UrbanAutos 2nd place in the Diesel Urban Concept category with 231MPG (+24.2%) 1st-489MPG.
1st photo shows our urban car in front of the staging lane - diesel winner is the 3rd car, a small, half our weight little single-seater roadster from Louisiana Tech. I hope Shell is adding a mandatory 2-seat requirement for 2013, yet nonetheless this competition has shown we need more sophisticated cars and engines in order to stay competitive. You see the girls lime green car on the track in the upper left.
2nd photo - Tim and Hunter changing sprockets; "Philippe the Firewall" our mascot grew a mustache while in Houston.

http://live.gfalls.wednet.edu/ecoteams/Of course we will be at World of Speed in September - I think the girls want to bring their car too to see how fast "Iron Maiden" will go (they reached 41mph in the school parking lot before running out of parking lot
Thank you again Landracing and LSR community for your interest and support.
