Jon & Joe
Sure hope the plastic wrap don't cause a problem with moisture/salt air getting to the bike etc. Others have tried this and had ton,s of rust. It tends to sweat and draw in the salt air. When Al Teague, Geo Fields and others went over they were told not to wrap with the plastic.

Just info from the past.

I agree with Glen. We had zero rust problems with our car and supplies when we went. Doug

Hey Joe, just thought I'd add to your stress a little with a transporter tale.

My mate Andy was transporting his car from Tasmania back to Melbourne and was asked to come down to the dock as there was a problem on the voyage over.

Andy went down and was led upon the ship where he was directed to an 40ft shipping container sitting on the deck next to some doubly stacked containers.

"See that container?" the shipper asked.

"Yep," replied Andy.

"Your car's under it."

Apparently they had parked the car on the deck and stacked extra containers on top of containers beside it one of which fell off in an extra rough crossing.

His life's possessions were in it too which weren't insured...

See you in March.

see in our case..........if that happens........the bike will
probably look and work better than it does now...........

the only thing shiny on the bike........ is select areas of the piston
skirts and a fair portion of most of the crank journals.............

my biggest worry is that I wont have enough duct tape.........

I got my own air tickets through a friend and ended up on the exact same flight Mike and all are going to be on.Arrive in Sydney about 8:00 am on 3/1, then catch flight to Adelaide.
My friend in Adelaide,Paul Rogers, wants to know if all the American bikers want to come to a barbeque at his place after the race.
