I just noticed Jon Amo, Landracing on this board is a guest...  :|
I called him and he said he didn't resign, so WTF?
He signed back up as Jon Amo but lost all of his messages, etc
So what happened

Tat's the ultimate slap in the face for the dude that had the stones to start this site.

Must be about 15 years of effort n his part.

Seems there should be some way to recover his data unless there is another reason.

Guest????? That's like calling your Mother  your caretaker.

Hey Amo, maybe it's time to start a new site.

Hey, lighten up, Freud.  I made one internal change to the site - that I had no idea would change Jon's status as a member of the Forum.  I'll be working with him to see if we can recovfer hisw past stuff.  After all, he might be THE one to tell me how to get it back.  Sorry for the inconvenience - but lighten up a bit, Freud, and please don't be quite so quick to slam me, hey?  Thanks.

Jon, I didn't say you did anything.

I just said it was a big loss especially to AMO.

I think I support both of you and have for a long time.

Remember I too have experienced the frustration of a site change that was done by the electronic genie

without any intervention by the human hand.

I also appreciated the amount of effort needed to make things work afterward.

Okay - thanks, Dr. Freud.  Here's the latest.  Jon and I talked earlier today and have a couple of ideas on how to reinstate him one way or another.  We're trying one right now -- but it's not a 1-minute fix, so be patient.  If the present fix doesn't work -- we'll try something else, donchu worry.

Once again -- I'm sorry for the discombobulation.

S--t happens.  If it didn't we'd all leave Bonneville with record certs in our back pocket.  Chill guys.  It'll get sorted.  Or did I miss something?  Did the world stop turning?

This is kind of on this topic.

Is there something that has changed on Landracing.com as far as editing a post goes? Seems like in the past if you caught something in a post you made that might not make sense you could edit it after a day or two had passed. I do not have that option any more. All it says is Notify instead of edit on my buttons. Is there anyway the time frame could be increased, so we have a window to edit our posts? Or is there something I am missing and can still edit posts after a couple of days?

Thanks,

Tom G.

I have no "modify" button on some from today. Looks like I can only edit the last post I have made.

I had just checked the last one I did before the post on this topic, and I could still modify it, strange. I thought we used to be able togo back for a while and still have the button.

Hi Bob,

I currently have the modify button on the post I made in this thread. But if I go to a post I made two days ago, the modify button does not show up. I don't know if it has something to do with Logging on or off or just a certain time limit to modify your post.

See if you can modify a post you made from two days ago and let me know.

Thanks,

Tom G.
