1st time mc on the salt
« on: January 02, 2006, 04:41:32 PM »
Hi, new guy here.  I'm entering a bike in the vintage class this year and am wondering what  the salt is like to go around 125 mph on.  Any tips on anything?  Thanks
dka
If it can be built, it can be raced.

Get rulebook, read same carefully and check off each item esp your LEATHERS!!
Salt at 125 like a dirtbike on a fire road--lotsa fun!!
Bonneville 2001,2002,2003,2004,and NO stinking 2005,DLRA 2006, next?
Well, sure can't complain about 2008--6 records over 200 and 5 hats from Bonneville,Bubs, and El Mirage for the team!

DKA, 125mph is a Ok on the salt --- all looks a bit daunting at 1st at the start line. Hope you do well .
