Monterey
« on: November 06, 2010, 05:10:08 PM »
I just watched part of the Monterey Historic Sports Car Races on Speed. The winner of the Formula 1 race? How about Charles Nearburg in a 1981 Williams? He's not just fast going straight.  Wayno

That guy has way too much fun.  The smile he was sporting after breaking the Summers Brother's record was great -- and I betcha he's wearing another one now.  Congratulations to him and his entire team.

Speaking of Charles -- I happened to have a copy of a photo of the Summers Brothers and their car with us at the Shootout, so I got Charles' autograph on that photo.  there's a cool stroke of luck for my collection, hey?

it is better to live one day as a lion, than it is to live one thousand days as a lamb. or maybe it is better to burn out than fade away.

The photo?  Send a few bucks for postage (it's a bit bigger than will fit in a 44-cent envelope and a donation to the site is always welcome) and I'll send you a copy of the Summers Brothers photo that isn't autographed.  There's only one copy WITH the autograph -- that one will not be sold 'til I think of some way to extract a dear amount of revenue for it.

Send mailing address if you want a copy of the picture.
