Chris good to see you again. How are you guys getting on with the Vettes we tuned at Buttonwillow?

I am no longer with WIT racing. They are taking it easy on racing for a while due to the economy and all that. I still talk to Wendell and Kevin all the time. Hopefully once things pick up, we will get to race the cars I built. We ran them once at the uncorked event at Laguna and they were all pretty well sorted. The GrandAm car in particular really shows some promise.

Yeah pretty good. I have my own shop now, partnered with two other guys here in Tenn. We are becoming a dealer/tuner for the new Holley Dominator EFI system. It is just coming out but it's a pretty nice setup for a good price. No motec in terms of it's abilities but it's still pretty darn capable.
We also will be building a big turbo LSx RX7 for the mile and may go with Motec for the traction control among other things. What would you recommend for a car like that and what would be the cost? I assume an M800

Stan.
Didn't mean to get you all worked up.  Wheel base would be impossible to write into the rules seeing as though everyone interprets some parts of the rule book differently.  I simply wanted to state/mention that cars such as Cooks or the Berkly are as modified as they can be, where streamliners and super modified sports are two classes that shouldn't be confused.  But cars with stock rockers, roof, quarters, etc. or that don't have the factory frame under them (DCwater jet, the Red Opel GT, silver and orange 280Z, Enzo Gang, etc.) are really comparing grapes the watermelons even if you through wheelbase out of the picture completely.

Just a thought by the way.  I'm still building my sisters Datsun at factory wheelbase with the stock roof and body panels knowing that we will be running with the likes of the enzo and Cook.

  Aircap, Stan, etal,
Stan, I take nothing away from the "way it used to be", but who says that the Enzo team didn't deserve their record any more than Dave, John Beck, etal.
Let's congratulate both teams, quit the snide remarks, and work on getting records for our own cars.

No snide remarks made by me, Bob. Both cars and teams are top-notch in my book. My point is this - the Ferrari looks like it will go 300, and the Ford doesn't.
But the Ford got there first. Mega-kudos to them.

I have set 2 records over 200mph and im not in the 2 club (YET) there is a 225mph min for our class. We new that when we built our car. I cant say i agree with it but thats the way it is. I dont think the 2 club min speeds are any secret.  So we just try to make improvements every year to reach that speed.

Local Salt Lake TV ran a background story Dec. 8 on the Utah Highway crash several yrs. ago. Video shown seems to be from WOS, but WF's New Record is mentioned I believe. There are also 3, extra footage clips. Enjoy all!
