ARTWORK FOR NW REUNION
« on: December 11, 2005, 01:37:34 PM »
Last year for the Bonneville Banquet in Portland I painted a picture which was auctioned off to help pay expenses, bought by Marlo Treit. I am going to do that again this year and would like some ideas as to what the image might be. Maybe something historic or something to capture a significant moment in Bonneville history, not too tough though, my abilities are limited to my third grade crayon skills.

How about one of the early lakesters, streamliners or a roadster.
Kentz-Leslie, or the Reed bros tank, maybe the Sadd-Teague- Bently roadster. All are historic cars.

Thanks Glen- the Sadd-Teague-Bentley roadster would be good wit it coming back this year. Did you see the article in Rodder's Journal on the car? Pretty cool. Thanks for the suggestion...

The local book store doesn't carry the Rodders Journal, guess I'll call them and order it.

This is a pretty good issue, many old lakes pictures. The S-T-B article was written by S. Charles Hamilton, who is the son of one of the roadster's crew, I think that is what the article said. The famous (or infamous) picture of George sitting on the salt with a beer while others are pushing the car, is in there. It's a great article, which would have been better (I think) if it would have been after Bonneville next year with the newest version of the car. I am looking forward to seeing and HEARING that car run this year. If you had to define hot rod, that may be it!
