Rentals from SLC Airport

Anyone with a horror story about renting a car from the SLC Airport during Speed Week ?

Problems getting deposit back etc.

Getting charged extra for ?????

No problems.....

I rented off site from the airport to save 2 or 3 bills (the taxes at the airport locations are terrible) on the rental vehicle.

Cleaned it up good + had the good fortune of driving through some rain on the way back to SLC.

No problems!

As I recall, the taxes on Rental cars, 25%, are left over from the Olympic Days.

Just like a smallpox vaccination scar, they never go away.

The last reported case may have been in '49, but innoculations continued into the '50s (when i got mine).    vic

Vic, what's teh plan for next year? I hear Bob has sold the car. Any future landspeed cars in the future? I finally got my Red hat on Firday! No more spins!
