I don't normally tout restaurants, and this may not be the proper place, but here goes:
Thursday morning heading home we gassed up in Ash Springs on Hwy 93. I remembered some restaurants in Alamo and pulled into the Windmill Ridge at the crest of the hill on the west side of the road. Really nice place.
They make most of their own stuff fresh. I ordered the "Hash". Definitely not the Hormel out of the can corned beef hash! They make a pot roast each morning and use big chunks. Roasted potatoes, bell peppers and onions and cheese mixed with the beef and topped with 2 eggs. Home made bread/toast, jam and salsa also.
THE BEST BREAKFAST I HAVE EVER HAD, bar none! A rough count makes it the best out of 23,000 breakfasts.
We usually make the run from and to San Diego in 12 hours stopping only for gas and one meal. From now on we will plan on stopping here both ways!
