In the year we got #1, we scored 1465 points over six events. That is 244+ per event.
The following year with Wendy driving we got #2 and #9 in SCTA and #1 and #2 in SDRC.
Anything less than that is just less.

Another racer is supposed to tear his bike apart to get it ready for sale.. seems like someone is really is counting on some racers to not show.
:(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(

 :D
A lot of people are working hard for us to have a chance at a little racing in a year of nature issues!!!
Great for them...
 Not a points consperisy 8)  8)  8)

Sickracer, what number are you for runs at El Mirage?

Car or Bike, just curious?

And I am sure it is not a "consperisy" either...probably and most likely not a "nature" issue.

 8) It has wheels on it and it is not in the race for points

But it is a race car and it was built to run ever chance it can. so until racing is for sure done it is ready to go....

sick
if it has wheels and is a racer it must have a number. I guess the real deal here is that alot of people have a busy life and a very late last minute rescheduled meet has some people really pissed off. They would blow it off to do there originally planned activity but the points dictate that they must participate. heck people like moreland and noonan aren't in the points chase but find it very important to maintain a low starting number. they need a good track to run on and if they have a bad # for May and can't get a clean pass then the rest of the season may suck. So I personally am glad you can take time away from your gardening and can run your phantom car, good luck to ya. I ya care to disclose who ya are, I'll pull a cold one out of the cooler for ya this weekend.
peace and grease

Kent, I thought you might feel that way about my response.
A quick background of my history at El Mirage is I've gotten three folks into the dirty 2 club (9 into the Bonneville 200 mph club) with my engines. If you look at the 2004 results you'll see that Ed Van Scoy finished 2nd in the points for cars. He also managed to scrape into the dirty 2 club early in the year. What you may not know is that he had a cooling system problem at Bonneville which required a thrash rebuild to make the remainder of the El Mirage season. He didn't get much of a chance as the Sept. & Nov. meets were also rained out similar to this year. I know Ed didn't feel great about this but you didn't hear about it. Oh and by the way, Ed tows to El Mirage from Gilbert Az. just a tad farther than Vista.
And since the SDRC might have missed a Reps meeting last year you also might not know that the 2 day meet we had in May of this year was due to the weather problems we had last year. That group of guys & gals of the SCTA work very hard to give us "racers" a chance to race whenever they can.

So would you like some cheese with that whine?

P.S. Glad your going to enjoy the dirt this weekend. Hope you do well.
