Arivett's drag liner history??
« on: September 26, 2005, 10:29:55 PM »
I've been looking thru some old mags, and have come across the DRAGRACING magazine, Nov 86, article on the Arivett Bro's liner.
DRAGRACING magazine also had an atricle in the May 88 issue.

Does anyone know the whereabouts of the car, and/or if it's still in exsistence??

I attempted to get to their website, but it's listed as "down".
If anyone would like to see these articles, I can scan them, and e-mail them.
Does anyone know how to contact either Don or Gerald?

Thanks! :D

Which mold is it that they have? There is the large 2 engine car (Haas)and there are 2 smaller cars (one is electric). Then there is the original car that is more like a funny car (that Kenny Hoover drove) with a lift off body.
So which one is it?

Ok I have 3 streamliners and I have most of the parts to build my 4th. So logic and my wife says I gotta get rid of one.

Does this mean you are acting illogically :?:     .

Hey sum, just a thought (ow that hurt) I may have some bodywork that would be pretty close to fittin your lakester. comes to mind that you wrote somewhere in your build up that you liked bike liner bodywork. I have molds for 4 different bike liner body's. I may have somthin close to get you started.

Yep I'd like to have the main part of the body looking like EZ-Hook as much as possible.  I plan on cutting the tanks I have into 4ths and using them for as much of the front and back of the car as possible and scab the rest together, bondo it and paint it.

If it works ok I'll try and use it as a plug to pull a mold off of and then make a glass body.

I love the work you have done (looked at your site and have seen the Turbinator numerous times), but being in the middle of no-where and in the tourist business and gas prices through the roof I'm almost eligible for food stamps, so I'll just have to limp along in the direction I'm going.

Thanks for thinking of me though,

Sum

Bondo dust isn't as bad as glass dust. And the fumes can be kinda fun depending on how big your paper bag is. It?s the headache that sucks. Let me know if I can help
