I agree with stopping this one and start a El Mirage updates as there are plans for changes to the lake bed over the winter.  Tiny and others can keep us posted. Think about it.

I'll shut this down in the morning -- leaving it here for folks that haven't seen this notice - to see it.

Last meet, Oct, I was watching some guys with a weater station to install at the SCTA compound.
What happened? is it still to be installed?
Also, I thought there were plans to install a web cam in the same area. Any news on either of these?

Mike Manghelli told me they were working on it and needed a couple of items to complete it. Maybe over the winter they can finish the install at the property.

"What changes?"

Pavement

No just kidding. I am not in the know but, I understand that some talks are under way with BLM and the other users(Friends of El Mirage) to control the traffic. Maybe look into some method of grooming. We all know that not much can be done with the natural dirt surface. Hopefully, something can be done.

Hey Tiny, it's easy to take humor as criticism when posting on the web.  I know from experience that when it comes to racing we all get a testosterone rush which outpaces our common sense.
I don't think anyone posting on this site is out to humiliate or upstage one another, we just all want any race to happen: right now, right on time..................
It's going to be a long winter, let's all lighten up and enjoy each day as if it's our last............. it might just be..........   Bob

I just had a phone call that the races were postponed until next weekend.............
It could be interesting to see who shows up next Saturday.

Ha, like watching folks launch boats on the ramp.

John call Stan Back.  He doesn't live very far away and he still has the car on the trailer.

I no he would want to run again next week.

He's beginning to love the dirt and his wife would be happy for him to be gone another weekend.

It is a two day meet isn't it?

He could be there Friday afternoon and bring a turkey sandwich.

Tell him to use my name and run from the rookie line.

Always looking out for Satn Bcak,

Tiny, SNOW at elmo??

2.2 inches of snow forecast for tonight.
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.
