Salt condition rumors (back in the day)

 I guess there have been salt condition rumors for a long time, even before the internet!

Dang -- I wish there was a measurement of salt depth given, just to compare with today's few inches.  Ah, we have what we have, and we enjoy it no matter what, right?  Thanks again, Gary.

As one of the old guys a can assure the salt was much thicker and you could drive west to the edge by the mountains. We drilled holes back then to put in markers, had one course, one black line. Yeah they have mined off mega tons over the years. Maybe 100 or so vehicles and the pits were a lot smaller. The fun meter has never changed nor has the spirit of the events. The memories are forever. :-D :-D
