The August 2005 issue of the British magazine Classic Bike has not one, but two articles on Sam Wheeler.  One is a well done biographical perspective of his involvement in LSR since the late 1950s and the other is the E-Z-Hook record runs.   I picked it up at Borders, but Barnes & Noble, etc. might have it.

Sam is the best current  Motorcycle streamliner rider, he has 40 years at this and I think he got in the 2 club in 1974 with a Norton streamliner :shock:

I want to thank Sam for his excellent guidance in the Ack Attack Motorcycle streamliner..witout him the learning curve would have been much longer I am sure..I as the student still have much to learn..
