With a project that was 3 1/2 years and $200k in the making, they already beat a record that was more that 50 years old sorta and all of that without a monkey !
National pride certainly got a boost with that one.
What a mark to be proud of !

Thanks for the info.
We got our 1000c.c. motor ready for our sidecar outfit.....However, for now the plan is to run our Turbo-Busa....if the water goes down at Bonneville

Poor fellas are going to submit it to Guiness only to find that they "only" care about two motorcycle speed records...fastest production bike and fastest outright motorcycle.

Bob Moreland has been 194 miles per hour on his $10,000.00 Busa sidecar..and most of the money was spent on paint..

Outstanding effort by Moreland....
however, the motor has to be 1000c.c. for a FIM Sidecar World Record....the Busa is bigger last time I checked our.....In 1991 we did go 187mph with a 1 liter motor
and a 155 lb. passenger in a speed
trial in France on pavement...but we could not back it up due to the fact the shut-off was only 3/4 km.
...we only had a rear brake...the first run ran us through the barrier at the end of the road before we could stop.  The officials in their wisdom "said no more" (you got to love the French)

Was I being sarcastic again ?
Some people hate it when I do that.
Well at least it is from the heart and straight to the tickled rib.
I like to leave it up to others to fall on their sword.
