solid mounted rear

I am building a 27t modified roadster with a 305 Chevy. I'm considering a solid mounted rear. This is my first lsr car. Any thoughts?

We went from heavily-sprung coil-overs to solid on our roadster -- because of movement limitations.  Couldn't tell the difference.  Record at Bonneville, one at El Mirage after the change.  Five more in the five years before.  Ya talking Bonneville?  Might be a different story with rough salt -- then again, the suspension didn't work with it either.

Adjustable racing shocks and springs (coil overs) provide options for chassis tuning for varying salt conditions. If you make the mounts to accept coilovers, you can always run solid struts (especially to start if budgeting precludes coil overs).    vic

If you ever decide to Run Maxton,,, you need rear suspension (it's required)

I am like Krusty,, I think tunable coilovers are the way to go... but just my thoughts
