SCTA World Finals contact
« on: September 29, 2009, 03:31:24 PM »
Well its time for my yearly plea to the SCTA to have a up to date message on their PHONE site for the World Finals.  A lot of us have to tow a long distance, and with the weather as always looking iffy, I urge the folks in charge to keep us travelers alerted.
This would be very benificial to those of us who are not linked to the internet.........
                                                      thanx, Bob

The 10 day outlook is a 50/50 shot right now, based on the NOAA radar prdictions.
HOWEVER, as with weather, things can change on a dime.

I talked to JoAnn at the SCTA/BNI office just a bit ago. There are no updates as of today, but she said they will update as soon as known.

We are going forward as if we are leaving, and I will wait and be ready to roll up to Monday early morning before we head out.
If it's still 50/50 by Monday AM, I am rolling up there.

Glen, thanks for the response.  I know that if anyone can make the phone message thing happen, it will be you.  You are one of the true backbones of our sport and your continuing on this site when others have chosen to leave, had been a true asset to our sport.  Thanks again, Bob
p.s.  feel free to visit me in impound............. :-D

John, thanks for the generous offer.  Right now the five day forcast  shows the hardest part for me might be getting there.  30% chance of snow from Pendleton to Wells.  Oh, and my motor won't be done until tommorrow night :roll
The good news is the fat lady hasn't yet sung, and the smell of 50 degree salt air is very alluring.........
