I think this is the all-time fastest motorcycle ever.  And again,  1000cc!
Holy crap. :-o   that is average through the middle mile.

The only reason I have posted today is because Joe did not want to make a big deal of this accomplishment.
However, I have known Joe for his entire life and I know how much Bonneville means to him.  His goal has
never been to hold numerous records.  His ONLY goal is to be the fastest motorcycle to ever go down the
salt over a timed mile.  Congrats Joe.  Good luck tomorrow backing this up.

Joe just attempted to back up the 272mph this morning and blew the engine.
He said this run was the run of a lifetime as he as at 251 in the first mile.  Said
the bike was accelerating hard after the first mile and then, well as they say...the one that got away
No record, but he was thrilled.
