The rulebook does not specify what is required. I was going to put tabs on the top of the windshield only, not the bottom. Is that OK or are they required on the top and the bottom?

What's going to hold in the bottom when you spin backwards??
Just another point:  What's going to hold in the rear window in when the front pops out in the spin because you had no bottom straps...
PS: When you get a chance, feel free to look at what others have done in Coupes and Sedans running over 200...Good Luck

Hey John-
Next time you have to pick up the thousand tiny pieces of glass scattered across a half mile of salt, you'll appreciate the stringent rules put forth by the SCTA. Imagine a course walk at El Mirage, except you're stopping every inch to pick out the fly sh%t from the pepper  :D
