Willie, Superkarts race 150+ on those tires. Nope, not speed rated.

Rosco McGlashan ran 253 in a rocket powered kart on tires like that. 7,000+ rpm on the tires.
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

Fred,  you doing anything different tomorrow on the bike? I know you ran 213 at Speedweek with the bike in the P-P class on a better course. I think it's got a 220 pass in her.

The whole place went "Silent" went the speed was announced.

Scott, I had the same 6th gear issues as I had at Speedweek, all four speeds 21/4,3,4,5 were 213. GPS said 215 was max speed, spreadsheet says 215 at shiftlight in 5th gear, it also says 225 in 5th at redline/revlimit. So tomorrow it goes it stays in 5th to rev limit if it will get there. I want that 220 bad and I think the bike has it in it.

Lester told me it was tacking over 340 mph at the end of the middle mile which it should have been to average 333.
Does anyone know Lindsey and Leggitts 21/4 and 1st mile speeds on that 333 run?

I am personally thankful for the information we get and I believe it to be a great addition to LSR. The folks giving  this info are running vehicles and are crew members for outher. I'm glad they can take a little time for us.

But if you are so interested and it means that much to you perhaps you should have been there to see someones time. I can wait for the daily postings of USFRA for each course but it is apparant you can't. Hope to see your Camaro at WF...Good Luck

Or Bvillercr can stay home from the Fresno state -Boise State game which is starting now.
We woun't be at World of speed still have repairs to make got to go already missed two plays.

213 in fifth gear huh? Now you are just bragging! I hope you get the problem fixed and get your 220 pass in, best of luck.

We learned a bit in Impound today -- things that are basic -- but I didn't know just how they worked.

That is, the four-hour limit for working on the vehicle is an honor-type thing -- I need to quit working on the vehicle four hours after entering impound.  Heretofore I had thought that when the four hours was up -- I'd get a visit from Dan or one of the other officials telling me that the time to quit was here.  No -- so I advise everyone to make it a point to set your own alarm clock or something to let you know when to stop working -- lest you be invited out of impound.  That'd be a bummer!

I also learned something about fuel tank seals.  We had a nearly-full and sealed tank at SpeedWeek, and we asked if that seal, kept in place, would be accepted at WoS if we made it to impound.  We were told that it would be okay that way -- there'd be no issue.  Well, today we found that we needed to visit Rick Gold at the ERC truck FIRST -- to have him inspect the seal, then re-date it with the present date on it (in other words, the seal dated August 10th or so would be checked and verified and then removed and be replaced by one stating that the seal was put in place on today's date -- the 18th of September in this instance.  Again -- we squeaked through on that, but I want to make sure that everyone knows this -- so you don't come to an unfortunate and unhappy place when you think you'd set a record in a gas class.

Thanks to Dan Warner and Tom Evans for helping Nancy and me learn this -- so I could not only do it right, but also tell you folks.  If everybody but us already knew these things -- well, shame on us, but at least we're still learning.
