Hey Seldom --

Is Maxx an advertiser with his shouting at us and rent-a-ride and real estate?

Ya Stan Back...............

Quoting him    I got Wed.-Thurs.-Fri. at the Peppermill online for $139 -- for all three.

Not everyone has the connections that you enjoy.  Give us a break.

Maybe you could book rooms for some of the "less fortunate" than yourself.

How about that, PAL?

Just use that electric thing with the tubes -- ask Sarah Palin -- her favorite senator explained it to me and her.

Speaking of photos -- mine weren't taken from the top of a fifteen-foot ladder -- or whatever Jon was using.  So, Jon -- that was you (or at least your ride) that buzzed the course and Land's End right near the end of the day?  Nice -- and thanks for the photos.  They7 were absolutely the best way of letting us see the true conditions of the wet Salt.  I thank you very much.

Here are a few more - taken from the 6-foot above average terrain level.  The first one shows Monte driving a drag truck.  Notice the liquid salt/water being pushed ahead of the front part of the drag.  This was WET salt!

Then there's this nicely-done old VW bug, complete with fender skirts and shades over the headlights.

And the last photo is one of the access road taken in early afternoon today.  Compare it with shots taken earlier this week -- the water is going down.

In fact -- the water at Land's End was very noticeably down late this afternoon, about 5.30 -- but I didn't have the camera with me just then.  Take my word for it -- or show up tomorrow morning at 7 when the gates open.  Driver's meeting at 9, racing begins at noon.

I had my own little private beachfront area to wrench at today, it was a place so unexpected and ended up 2nd only to being on the salt in front of the 3.

A question for those that went back home or are down and out because we weren't racing today is... "If you went to the moon looking for water and didn't find any when you got there, would you complain or enjoy exploring a very rare place until you found some water?".

If you don't get to do what you love when you come out here, then love what you do (fortunately for me and because of Jon and Nancy's outlook and actions in life, i got to do both today and found my water!).

This sight (and site) for me wrenching, was so peaceful and calming all day... it was an absolute paradise - like a remote cove on a deserted island where I was beachfront and not at all looking for a rescue ship.

That's correct, both of those are Nancy's rides.
One's a Production class, and one's a Vintage class... the Production model is the shiney one & the Vintage model is the smiling one.
The Production entry is the one she ran 199 on at SW, was pre-entered and is ready to run.
The Vintage entry has stood the test of time... but i'm not sure if it would pass tech so I think she's going to keep it for after hour rides (a post-entry i believe it would be refered to as?).

Can't imagine the course being very decent at this point, but a bad course at bonneville is better then a good course at home and...
 Racing starts today:cheers:

Great chat on the phone yesterday, you are here.
