Heck of a job, Ray.  Nicely done.  Thanks.

Same goes for you two, Seldom & Nancy.

Super big congratulations to Leslie for her 240 run & new personal best AND for going home with top sit-on bike speed! Good stuff there!  (congrats to Scott Horner behind the scenes as well! ;) )

Looking forward to some write ups on the banquet & awards!

Anyway the shot I'm posting is (so far) my favorite.  It's Sam Wheeler and Chris Carr shaking hands and wishing one another well before Sam's run.  It seemed to capture the whole spirit of the meet, with petty disagreements set aside and true sportsmanship and competition displayed.
...
Outstanding! yup I agree! You captured one very special moment right there! ;)
Thanks for all of your hard work Ray! I know I for one have enjoyed it!!!

Giant thanks to Jon & Nancy for the play by play! It was awesome!!!

Debbie
PS: Jon & Nancy, start practicing getting up early along with your tucks! There's only a few days to get-er-dun (and we know you can!)! That NA bike likes the morning air so lets not waste that vital resource! ;) Besides, that will leave Nancy's afternoons free for her sun worship!  :-D

Deb, you'd be pleased with how early we've been arriving at the Salt.  There's one big thing in our favor for arriving in time for the first runs at WoS -- and that big thing is the sun.  First runs can't go much before 8AM at WoS because of the time of sunrise.  We've been getting to the salt before 8 most every day, mostly that late 'cause no runs took place before then.  So -- by the time it's time to race -- we'll be in good shape. HAH, so there, nanny-nanny-foo-foo!

Oh goodie!!! That will work!  8-)
Heck, we take advantage of the time change when we get out there for Speed Week so it takes us half way through the week before it seems early!  :-D

That blue hat is far more attractive than the common red ones.  Wonder if I could get away with just dyeing one?

I yield to the RAT.

I saw that image posted and I'm ready to purchase one from you.

Kid, u is doin d a m n e d  well.

Was anyone warming up on Nitro when u shot it?

FREUD

Been a long time since someone called me kid, but I'll take it.  There's a file in yer email with that image in 11x14 form.  Enjoy.

Matter of fact, I'll make it into a wallpaper file and donate it to whoever wants to use it.  I created 7 different sizes with a coupla different aspect ratios and put 'em here:

That's my good deed for the day.  :)

Oh....no nitro...just a flashback from my Carlos Castaneda consciousness-expansion days.  ("Here, dude, chew another peyote button and see if you can manage not to puke yer guts out.)  That probably explains a lot.  :)

Seems like Horton's Norton can relate but I have no idea whether to hurl out the open car window or to wait for a red light

and step out in the cross walk.

I have about 100 photos from the meet on my web server.  They're just "Quick Picks" that seemed to cover the subject.  Some are already on the Photo Gallery here, but many aren't.

The url is http://www.chevyasylum.com/lsr/bsf2009/bub/pix/Welcome.html

Hope ya enjoy.

I have been catching up on some of the postings during the Bub meet. One thing that keeps being incorrectly stated is the 1% rule.  There is no such rule at least for FIM records. To break our record of 360.913 MPH you need to go at least 360.914 MPH timing is required to be accurate to 1/1000th of a second.

It sounds like a great week on the salts. Congratulations to all who attempted and those that set new records. Wish I could have been there.

Hello all,
I am back from the salt and thought I would share some pics.
This is a link to my blog.
I will be adding discriptions to the pics as I have the time.
Enjoy
