We arrived at the salt Friday, the road was actually a lot better than I remember in 2018,,,,

The containers were added to the pit and we started the  process of unloading and assembly... of course the first order of business was get Nellie's kitchen in order so she could fix lunch
There is WiFi at the sheep ranch, more later

That's just awesome. I wish Marlo and all you guys everything of the best.

I wish the best of luck, safety, and comfort for all racers at Lake Gairdner.

It's my understanding that the location is so isolated -- with no nearby city or town -- that folks that go there have to bring
everything they need with them.  And when they arrive there, they are greeted by insects, unpredictable weather,
and lack of many things we take for granted . . . such as fresh water, food, shelter, and clothing.  In other words, it's a series of big challenges, from the time of arrival to the time of leaving that place.

The human spirit is impressive.  It has accompanied people across Antarctica, to the top of Mount Everest, to the Moon, and
to Lake Gairdner.  And it will help racers succeed.  I am looking forward to reading about some triumphant accomplishments
there.  Thank you in advance to all the people involved in making these things happen.

Thanks PorkPie for the post. Yes I believe Mike has to upgrade his license status, so it might take a couple of runs. Which is good IMO as he can get more familiar with the car.

I am not on FB, but I fear that no news means no joy for the Treit team in Oz at this meet. Does anyone have any info? Thanks, Dean

A fellow just posted on FB  that the T550 had made another license pass and would be trying to run 400 later in the day. Fingers crossed

Today is the last day as they are +18:30 my time PST. Right now it is 11:48 AM, but I don't know how long they race on the last day? I hope the team is able to get a good run in before it is over.

Looks like it didn't happen this year.

Target 550 ran 376 mph in 2016, and their Lake Gairdner record is 345 mph, so did they have mechanical problems?  It appears they were doing licensing passes and then there was too much wind for a while, so limited opportunity to run at record speeds.

There is a hint on DLRA FB page that they switched driver.  Possible story there?

The DLRA FB page does get confusing from the individual posts. I am not a FB person but it does let me look until I scroll down about 4 paragraphs, then shuts me off. I would rule out a change of Drivers, JMO. Now I do know Mike has a UTE that he might have used for licensing passes. One person says it developed an oil leak on Tuesday that his team had to fix. Another person says they did make a licensing pass for Mike's A License at 256 mph? Maybe this was the last pass of the meet for the car? This gets very confusing for sure.
I am sure we will find out in the next few days.

...meanwhile the DLRA extend the timing list...

the AA license, running 259+ mph, was done with the UTE...
