First, Thanks out to the all the SCTA guys and dolls for putting on another great event.
Weather was windy and cool. Course looked to be in similiar condition as May.
There was a major crash with a bike at about the halfway point, requiring a helicopter. Heard the rider was OK, but not much else. Hope he has a speedy recovery.
The "Casper" report:
Well, this was the first LSR event that we were "ready" for. We arrived with without having to assemble the truck, the track and wind were in our favor, everything was set. Looked good.
At the May event, Casper was out-of-control. Handling capped our speed. So all our focus was on handling. Our changes worked well, the truck handled like it was on rails. Didn't even spin a tire.
However, at 150mph our El Mirage Curse reared it's ugly head. The engine lost power and shut off, I smelled fuel, so I popped the chute early and coasted to a 122mph pass. A new record low for us!
We tried to fix the truck, but found the primary injection pump was hurt, and we had neither the tools nor time to replace it. And some electrical gremlins kicked in as well.
Big thanks out to:

For making the go-fast stuff for our trucks.
Wish it would have have turned out better, but it was a good time, with good friends, and that's what is important to me.
Last but not least,
Kat, Tom, and Allison
For putting up with me.
