Blown Mini Pickup on E85
« on: February 27, 2009, 11:48:49 AM »
That is something I'm considering. The problem is what class would it run in? if it was Gas, then BMMP is obvious, but the E85, which turbo applications love, is Fuel. No Fuel Classes for pickups, of any kind.

The closest I can find is FMS, which is really a modified 2 seater sports car class. Well it's a 2 seater, but sports car would bring up some discussion......Of course who wants to run TO, We all open the new years rule book to look for our name in the records section, everything else in the book is secondary....

I would guess fuel altered. It's not a sports car.

Mike,

You have configured yourself into TO. You must run in the lowest availbale class, pickup, no fuel allowed + no class.

You can petition the board for fuel altered, I doubt it will work though.

Well the good news is I haven't tuned for E85, the dyno tuner suggested it because it's about 105 octane and the alcohol is great for cooling the air charge. and that's what the turbo import crowd is making big hp numbers with, that's why I asked.

Back to the 110K from ERC, I  don't really want to go after John Rains at 251MPH in BFALT.
Thanks Rich and Dan.
