Does anyone know if carbon fiber can be used to make critical structures. To be precise the canope and the firewall?

Section 3f on firewall.

All non production firewalls shall be made of metal with a min. thickness of .060in.  A thickness of .095 is recommended.  All holes shall be sealed.

As far as the canopy, I would think so; but get another opinion to be sure.

Thank you, I have been looking for a place where I can get the scta rule book. I can't seem to find it...or at least the link so that I can purchase one. I can build a custom car from scratch but, put me in front of a computer and my brain turns to mush.

Try this link to the main page to the scta web site and the bottom link is to the sales section.

The canopies on both the Buckeye Bullet and Buckeye Bullet 2 are carbon fiber. If I remember correctly so was the JCB DieselMAx canopy.
Will weld for beer

Yrs truly has even welded together a carbon fiber seat!

There's obviously a story here, but it may divulge my identity.

However, that may be about important as "Who cares? or I don't give a s##t!"
