I guess you just need to figure out how fast you want to go as that will assist you in figuring out how much you want to spend.

Either way good luck

What engine and transmission are you thinking of running?

i meant to say" not sure on the trans as i thought of running a trans axle vs. an auto or manual box". whats a scaleable set up.

My friends car will have a trans axle.  Though we are thinking of taking the half shafts out and making it a straight axle like a 9" Ford.  Still some engineering needs to be done.

With that small a motor I would sure go with a 5 or 6 speed clutchless Liberty

---or whichever one will freewheel in top gear when you let off it, or unfortunately blow up--been there twice hopefully don't go back

---for a rear I would choose a GM 7.5 with a Torsen diff greatest selection of ratios 2.14 up.
Miss LIBERTY,  changing T.K.I.  to noise, dust, rust, BLUE HATS & hopefully not scrap!!
