Classic Gas Altered 53 Studebaker ?
« on: February 01, 2009, 10:55:42 AM »
The way I read the rule book for chassis on a classic "altered or modified"  is that I can use or make any chassis,,,Meaning that NONE of the original chassis has to be used and no need to document the changes ?

Seems like the main hitch is that the body from the firewall/cowl area back can not be attached lower than the lowest part of the frame (not channeled)

Is this correct ?

The body/frame mounting relationship must remain as OEM. A car I looked at recently had to cut the body loose from frame because it was welded in a pitch down attitude.

Yes, to answer question one last - any frame may be used.
