I too thought this show was much better than the other train wreck.

I kind of liked the host. He was enthusiastic, energetic & entertaining. If he wasn't I would have just muted it & watched the cars! I can't speak for accuracy but nothing jumped out at me. I enjoyed it & will watch again and/or the next one. I loved the kid with the cart!

On another note, I know I'm a woman racer and a strong supporter of all women that get out there & race but somehow I found myself cringing when I heard the mention of the fastest woman's speed. (what was the fastest speed of the meet anyway?) I don't know why but it just sounds lame to me. No offense to Ronnie because I really enjoyed watching her story & watching her run. Is it just me?

There's a nice trophy for the "Fast Lady" at World of Speed that's worth trying for.

DEB, Careful now I worked on that car as well. Wish I could have been there for the runs. And Deb you didn't have to listen to me this time.

I think it said Ronnie's speed was 233 MPH or so?? I don't remember though.

I also liked the kid with the go-kart. I wish they allowed that when I was little. I think he said he went 96 MPH. That's pretty fast on a go-kart.

Thanks Wester, I didn't know that. I'm really not trying to be demeaning just something about it came across a little off to me.
Maybe if they would have mentioned that there is an award given it would have come across better to me. But didn't they say
she got the record? But in reality she got the meet award but not the record. Ok, maybe I did find an inaccuracy.

I think sometimes understanding this too well is what leaves me feeling like what is stated is lame. I actually thought she had achieved
a record and that impressed me, but I see now looking at the meet data that is not the case. Good for her on a good run & hopefully
a personal best on her way to bigger & better things. Oh well, I digress, I guess I'm just all about the records. I'll shut up now before
the lynch mob comes out and puts me in my place!  :-D

Darn,  I missed my debut as I was sitting behind the wheel of carl's vette while they skipped in line for those runs at WoS!  Guess they will replay it soon enough.  Anyways, the hotter of the 2 gokarts went close to 140 mph I believe.

The street luge made a run around 145 mph.  I don't remember a kart going that fast.

She ran 223 mph and it was a license run, the C-record is held by the same car at 326.xxx mph.
She will be back. :-)

I thought the kid said the "fast" cart topped out at 96. Pretty darn fast without a roll cage!  :-o
(or maybe the fast one has a cage?)
