Last night returned from the BUB..........we upped our class sidecar record, but it is still a "soft" record.  With the wind conditions the dustbin fairing did not work for us.....for next year I will be rethinking our sidecar fairing.
My thanks to our driver Larry Coleman and  passenger Warren Ryan for a outstanding job.
And many thanks to John Noonan for helping us on our gearing. Regarding, the $1600.00 I put up for the sidecar class.....we won our own money back and will roll it over to next year.  The $800.00 going to the streamliner sidecar class
will have to be sorted out by the BUB officials......
that part is out of my hands.....I just put up the dollars. Thanks to all the people that helped make this BUB a outstanding meet.

Okay, let's get back to the good things that happened at Bub's, not the scandalous(?!).  Please remember the times when we'd be upset at diatribes aimed at FR or others -- and, if you feel it necessary to scold someone, do it personally, not in the public forum.

Thanks for your understanding and (I hope) cooperation.

Sounds like one of those "you had to be there moments" which is difficult to understand as written and I fail to see the point of doing so. I spoke to Leslie Friday evening while she was in Noonan's pit so if I had to guess I would tend to think it was just a little razzing amongst friends which you misinterpreted. A lot of us with our friends will say embarrassing things just for the fun of embarrassing them. (being a woman racer it comes with the territory and you need to come in with thick skin to survive & not be continually offended) At any rate, if you thought his actions inappropriate then you should contact the Bonneville authorities privately and also let him know you thought he was out of line privately as well. Posting it on here will do nothing to make this right if he truly was wrong.

Just my thoughts.

Debbie

PS: I'll be happy to delete my post if the aforemention post is decidedly removed by the author.
PSS: Come to think of it, that was probably just his way of inviting her to dinner Friday night with himself & Jason (along with the SO's & other crew). Hey nobody said he had any couth! As far as I know that's not a requirement for LSR! (good thing for some of us too!  :-D ) I dunno, it all sound written tongue in cheek. This is where the smileys are helpful so we have some clue of the intent.

Flyboy your comment about Mr. Noonan being part of the SCTA is unfair. SCTA has nothing to do with the BUB meet. Because he is a member as were many more at the meet makes your statement about SCTA makes all of SCTA look like a bunch of jerks. I think if you have personal issues with Mr. Noonan deal with him and leave SCTA out of it as they have no dog in this verbal fight.

Hmmm,  makes me wonder if I was out of line when I tried trading my wife to the starter for an upgrade in license. Hey, he bit and we both almost had her talked into it as well.
Todd
PS: Flyboy, if your comment wasn't a joke (i figured that was when i first read it)Leslie is a big girl that appears fully capable of putting someone in their place should she see the need, and John is a big hearted man that loves to get a smile wiht off th ewall comments that aren't intended to harm. So I'm guessing whatever you heard should of been taken with (approriattley in this case) a grain of salt and the source considered. It certainly has nothing to do with him being with "that SCTA group" though. Maybe it was because of th eclub he is in, or possibly because of where he lives... no it's gotta be that dang bad boy Hayabusa motorcycle image he needs to portray out there - yeah, that's it!

Guys/Gals..

I believe he was kidding and the poor lass is a tough as nails successful woman and the man in her life knows that I am not only a fan of her racing talents that I also worked with them between runs to try to help her achieve her goals on the Production bike which she did.

If I am wrong then the gentlemen in question can correspond directly with me should he see fit and if Leslie or the man in her life, Scott or anyone else present had an issue with our bantering/kidding I am sure something would have been said before we all drove over to the banquet together or while we all sat at the same table upon arrival.

Dang where is the remote..looks like as the drama turns and it might be a durned repeat..

Deb top time for the money run was Rocky however it was only about 285 at that time and later after the money runs were over (Saturday) did Rocky run the stellar 315 mph run.

Erik and John won the $ 2,500.00 for top MPH to CC

Womens Spirt award was issued from Erin Hunter to none other than Leslie Porterfield who seemed very overwhelmed and them after thinking for a while she then asked that it go to Belan Wagner for what she has done in LSR and for being there in support of the ladies and their racing however she may have said it a bit differently.

Ok, money runs end on Saturday. Got it, I'm learning. I'm guessing the banquet is Saturday night then?

K. gimme a little more detail here, like last names, bike #? I don't want to guess too much!

Clarification... Did she keep the award AND list Belan as the supporter or decline the entire award to be given to Belan?

Thanks for the input!
Debbie
