he  cant  help himself.....its been apart of our  lives for so long,
the network of the LSR extended family is so tight
that staying in touch is second nature....and so vital to us/him...

it shows you how bringing the lsr world to all of you is just in him....

And we appreciate all he has done in the past and continues to do. Thanks Jon. Does anybody know if Jon W. has made a pass?

Thanks for posting, Scott.

Congrats to Johnny, after the bad luck at Speed week, it is nice to see him rebound so quickly and have some good fortune.  He works hard on a limited budget and still manages to get it done.  If he gets the "double" (faired & unfaired) like Jason did last year, that is a hell of an accomplishment!

Congrats to Jason and Team Guthrie.  Talk about a recovery!  To crash and then get back on a week later and still be in contention, that is awesome.  You and Scott are an inspiration to us all.  I have seen that video like 100 times, and I know after my first cartwheel at 243 mph I would have been saying "Well I am not doing THIS again!"

Congrats to Richard Assen.  Great job, and you had to travel half way around the world to do it.  That is CRAZY logistics.  Most people just have to travel half way around our country.

Congrats to Leslie Porterfield, fastetst woman on the planet.  Great job, and as someone previously stated, on an engine displacement that is not easy to keep together.

Thanks for all the posts everybody so we can all live vicariuosly through the competetors out there that are getting it done.

Awesome!

Oh, and John, I would call you on the phone out there, like I did during Speedweek, but I am not sure how your cellphone is working after a 230+ mph getoff.......

Hopefully it faired as well as Jason?  Maybe just a cracked cover? :-D

You know this story is going to go on forever..............LOL!

"Johnny, can you hear me now?" :-o

Stories like this make us all laugh, lord knows there are about two dozen of them circulating about me.....

Scott,

No I was not on the salt at all during the event. However over the years I have established a great network thru this website, communication skills, satellite Imagery and cell phone bills. I have always liked to stay on top of things, and even though I don't own this website anymore I still find myself knee deep in it all... And I can nothing other then share the information like have done for years... The forum BS I don't miss at all, the lots of late nights I dont miss at all, however I DO MISS being at the events socializing and bringing the information to the computers across the globe in a very timely manner. Just like the time I had Burklands speeds on the internet front page, before they even stopped the vehicle. And when  they stopped and called friends and family to let them know how fast, they simply state "We already know" thanks to my speedy postings. I miss it.

Are we going to see the run logs any time soon? Did I miss them? Nothing since the 4th and I'm dying here!
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

I'm guessing no. Jon W was the main contact for the first set and it took a little work to get them.
He's offsite & mobile right now so I'm assuming he hasn't gotten them yet. I'm on standby to format
them if they come through but I haven't heard anything yet. Without him on site to stalk them I'm
sure it's a more difficult task. For now we'll have to wait on the phone call updates.
