Another rumor on Noonan's lost cell phone routine was that is leathers opened up at speed and blew his arm off the bike and that is where cell phone came out. We will let John tell the story when he gets back.

Jon

Thats pretty much what he told me last night along with a 237mph pass naked and 239 on gps.

Scott

ahhh so he WAS riding naked! Just trying to shed a little weight then? Hopefully he'll run quicker if he can hang on with both hands!  :-o

Great to see my friend Tom Mellor from Vancouver has gone 182.45 on his old record of 149mph. That is incredible for an old 60's 750 Triumph Triple on gas.

Well done!!!

Greg Watters from Australia on a faired 750 Turbo bike had a pass at 220+ mph.

Jason McVicar made two faired passes at 220 mph and 235 mph.

Richard Assen still fastest at 244+ Mph.

Sam Wheeler posted a 278 mph+ test pass on his new aluminum tire.

Ack Attack  made it to about the 2 mile and turned out.

I just got off the phone from talking with Leslie! I don't think she could be any more excited!!!
She backed up her 231mph mile run with a 233.184 which will net her a 232 FIM/AMA record in MPS BF 2000!!!
She ran a 234.197 in the Kilo and in fine racer fashion, pushing every last bit out of the engine, sent a
rod through the cases! She shut down and got off the course without incident. Outstanding job!
Congratulations to Leslie for surpassing the exactly 30 year old (Sept '78) 229mph record held by
Marcia Holley in the Don Vesco streamlined motorcycle. She is now, as Bill said,
the Fastest Woman on a Motorcycle and she accomplished this by not only running faster but by also
setting a record!

Noonan, if I got this down right, was running at about 239 when he pulled the one handed phone dropping run
which he obviously backed out of a bit on a 237 qualifier to net a 237.5 mile / 238.1 kilo naked record.
(I'm not sure which class other then unfaired).

McVicar has a top speed of 241mph so far.

That's all I got from a hectic phone call so hopefully it proves out mostly accurate!

I heard Richard Assen went 244+ mph today so he would be faster yet so far for faired bikes.

We have been having a great meet, Greg ran a 210 backed up by a 220 for his record, then I got on it an ran a 211 for my first pass on the bike, was a real hoot and easy to drive. Backup run went to crap as boost tube to plenum came loose for a 163 run--damn!!. But good for a record. Back out tomorrow  for another try at the over 200 record.
What a great time, talked to Sam Wheeler, Alan Cathcart, Aaron Wilson, John Noonan, Jason McVicar, pitted with Richard Assen and his pals on the Kiwi Busa that went 244, saw Fritz Egli--- where else can you do that!!
Bonneville 2001,2002,2003,2004,and NO stinking 2005,DLRA 2006, next?
Well, sure can't complain about 2008--6 records over 200 and 5 hats from Bonneville,Bubs, and El Mirage for the team!

Jason McVicar had a 244.xxx pass this morning. This is going to be real close to Richard Assens 244.xxx run. The are within tenths of a mph from each other, because of lack of official results I can't give you a clearer picture of the last three digits.

Max lambky made another pass this morning but was still having some clutch issues.

Ack Attack was preparing for a run this morning also on the 0 mile.
