conditions of El Mirage

Looks like the lake bed got .17" of rain, anyone know if this little amount would cause standing water.  Supposed to have a little bit more today.

bvillercr, where did you find that info? I never have been able to find a site that showed that info. Not for lack of trying.

The new community center doesn't show on this image. It's at the bottom right corner. The weather station is on somebody's property north of there. The pin shows the location of the weather station.

I'm pretty sure that where the thumbtack is at is still the Community Center.  I wasn't aware that it had been re-built or moved.  I don't think they have that kind of $$.  Perhaps you're thinking of the new BLM building at the end of the paved road.  It's not on Google maps yet.

I am not looking for it to rain...I was thinking more of a flash flood..of course that is not a just for my behalf..I am merely thinking of the 200 or so entries and how much money we could all save...

Think about how good the course could be next year...

While I appreciate your warm hearted and penurious ("cheap" for those who flunked pre school) intentions you might mention your desire to maintain your current postion in the line up. 

As a friendly gesture may I mention that when Callaway was heavily into the running at the end of the October meet a few years back, rather than resting upon his laurels and hoping things would get "better", he took action.  He did his best to assist Mother Nature in every way he could.  Here is proof.

According to the weather service El Mirage has recieved about an inch of rain in the last seven days. This is good news, but we need much more to help heal the lake bed.

I feel your pain, brother.  We must heal the Planet (well at least the lakebed).

I'll see if I can get my Lovely and Talented co-driver to do one of her signature pole.... er ummm... rain dances later on today in an attempt to cause the gods to break into a bit of a "sweat".
