Back in the days when every drag car had a distinct personality (you know .... like LSR is now and always has been) the SWC Willys was an icon.

You have my vote!!

Voted for "Cookie". 1202 to 1144 hope he gets it. It would be well deserved.  8-)

Congratulations on another record Mikey  :-)

It was an honor to cast a vote, and honestly did not know until now, that the C in the SWC Willys was the same family, the cool factor guage is pinned!

Everyone in the stands is jumping and screaming!

With every shift, Cookie's front wheels are bouncing off the track like a scared kangaroo!

Wild Willie's getting loose, but he just won't lift! This is insane!

Ladies and gentlemen, this is a drag race!

I ran against Doug Cook in C Gas years ago, actually beat him once at the San Gabriel Raceway. The Stone, Woods & Cook Willys was a great car. BTW, Doug Cook is Mike Cook"s father and wrenched for Mike at Bonneville and the lakes until his untimely death. I never knew a greater competitor than Doug Cook. He would just vibrate watching Mike going down the course at Bonneville. They got my vote!

Note for young Newbies:

"Stone, Woods & Cook" was not a rock band in the Sixties.  :-D

That Willys was the ultimate "hot rod"!

I loved "Wild Willie" with one hand on the wheel, but SWC got my vote. SWC now up by 142.

Done.  Some of my greatest memories is watching SWC run at Lions.

Actually the car in second place is over 12% behind the car in first place...this is what matters not the total votes as that are spread over so many vehicles.. :-)

Did cooki ever run a 37-39 chevy-ford body style in the mid sixtys? I also ran a C blown gaser and remember a car at one of the Bakersfield fuel and gas championship racer in the same class.

Good luck with the poll   JL222
