Anybody headed to Bonneville from Norway?
« on: August 01, 2008, 05:03:33 PM »
Just curious, I know there is a Swedish team or two, thought there was a motorcycle from Norway maybe?? . I live in Bergen, heading that way in a week. I am with the Contrivance Engineering guys from Houston running the yellow  '23T GMR and  new red '27T GMR as of last year.

Hello Hans :  Hope you find some from Norway to tag along with. I'm 3rd Generation Norwegian. My Great Grandmother came from Kavel. Here in Illinois we even have a town of Norway. Hope to see you at Speed Week.
My inner child pretty much runs the place

Well, I don't think this is going to be of any help at all, but -- Jim Owen, who holds the M/PS/F 1350 record at Bonneville (and probably isn't going to SpeedWeek this year) live in Norway, Michigan.  Probably not the Norway you've got in mind, hey?

 Hi Hans

My grandparents were from Norway and my dad always said this toast ( dienskol mienskol ala vaca flicka skol) not to sure of the spelling there, but it means (you skol and i skol and all the pretty girls skol) i think. Anyhow a guy from Norway wandered into our pits one year and i asked him about the toast and he said Oh my, you have been cussing for many years, thats Swedish.
Look us up (Langlo Racing) on trailer. #222 CAR

Mr. Cox, I'll be around the week before speedweek , and I'm more than sure there will be some beers involved, any of you guys going this year? Yeah, lots of Norwegians up in the Michigan area, probably more than live in Norway now. I Lived in Houston before moving here and they are baffled here when I tell them Houston has as many people at all of Norway (5 million +_)  On the plane next Sat at 6am!! can't wait!

Mike L,

I was talking to Mike Lefevers. We had discussed Seth's number a while back when someone mentioned his Dad's(?) car was #77.

I look forward to your photos. You have a good eye and I will be shopping for a cover picture for the 200 MPH club's booklet.

See you guys soon,
