Stupid purchase any history behind this???
« on: January 28, 2008, 11:13:56 PM »
When I seen this I went nuts, something I had to have.
This is identical to our "flaming nut" logo.
I paid waaaaay to much for this but I couldnt stand someone else having it.

Even though this is a studio clubhouse prop sign made in the 80s, is there any real history behind the "speed nut 53"?

The guy that is selling this told me he has pics of Harrison Ford, Steve Buscemi and Julia Roberts standing next to this sign that he is going to send with it.

No matter what, ya gotta put it on the back of that green thing you race, it's too cool!

You could just change the YEAR for it to apply to any of us!

Happy picking!

How old would you be now if you didn't know how old you are?
If you can't race it or take it to bed - it ain't worth having.

You can buy those on-line from several sources, or at California Car Cover a couple of blocks from my house. Just like real Von Dutch ball caps bedazzed with jewels like Dutch wore.

Slim must be off-line -- not commenting on the typo in the Bonneville sign.

Very cool signs. Don't worry about the price . You must get the sign first. You can worry about the price any time after that. Way cool.

Yes, indeedy, I was off-line.  The internet installation guy made an appointment to be at the house this morning -- and when he was about two hours late I left home to come here to the office.  Now I'm here -- and he's called from my house, so I'll go back there later on to sign the papers and do whatever else he needs my presence to do.

Apostrophes are nice little things, and as I've said, if you never use one again you'll be wrong a few times, but right more times than you are when you use them at your will.

Jonny,

I went to the Cal car Cover on-line store and of course the sign I was referring to is not shown. Yours is not the one I mentioned.
