« on: November 16, 2007, 12:19:09 AM »
The December issue of Street Rodder has a picture of a buck in Marcel Delay's shop that he is building a body for, anybody know who's car it is and any details??

Tried to research the Marcel mystery streamliner thru my pal that's doing a Kent Fuller dragster re-pop body and had Marcel do the serious forming work and he knew nothing.
Knowing how magazine lead times are it may not be current.

Here in So Cal  (and So Nevada) there is a LOT of  potentential streamliner activity going on with turbines and diesels, for example! whose bodies are from existing vehicle's molds!

Not intending to be evaisive  but it's all gossip from last El mirage!

I posted pictures of the body at Marcel's and the chassis under construction a few months back but Jon is having server problems so the photo gallery is down. I'll see if I can repost them from work tomorrow.

Dynoroom, aren't you referring to the neat modified roadster Doug's working with you on as opposed to a streamliner?

Very Nice Craftmanship!   It does look to me like there is a shear point in the tube frame just behind the drivers bulkhead.
Looks like a good idea. I can see the reasoning behind it. Does anyone know for sure?

Dynoroom,
That's the one! Any info on the results from the wind tunnel info? I assume that is the reason for the scale model. I am always interested in the effect of the flat bottom. Love the driver's area, that should hold up to some real abuse and I agree with Doug  as to having the back part of the frame less resistant to crashing loads, although the car is still pretty stout!!

BTW, who's car is it anyhow??? We going to see it next year?? How big is the motor?

Boy, that body looks amazingly like Buckey Bullet II.
If it is close aero will be quite good.
The Bullet II reportedly has overall drag as BB I had, but is larger. Especially with the large, thick vert fin.

Thanks Mike for posting....

How bout some more info on your ride.
