I liked the pic showing the size relationship to the truck.  The thing looks like a toy!

Yamaha is one of the sponsors, having provided the Team with a Yamaha R6 engine for the next rounds of records in the 650-750 classes. Other sponsors include Team Bozeman Motorsports, the Yamaha-Kawasaki-Polaris Motorsports Dealership in Bozeman, Swedetech Racing, Pierry Manufacturing, Shoei Helmets, and others in the Bozeman area.
There is not yet, one primary and major sponsor, and that is what the Team is hoping to acquire with these early records.

Thursday - 9:30 am.
Just got a call from Cliff that they ran a 193 on the down run and are turning around for the return run- so the weather must be o.k. to run- although the temp looked a little low on the wendover weather..... let's hope he can back up the first run and get that record in the books. Then he can go after the 350cc Motorcycle Streamliner Fuel Record.
WAY TO GO!!!

Had a chance to talk to Cliff last night and he told me that on the return run on the first day, the disc brake locked up, and the cockpit filled with smoke and he turned out near the end.... found the disc literally melted.... Jack Costella literally machined the disc on the bike and they got running again.... Cliff said he could not figure out what was causing the problem, but the cab was filling with smoke, and it was getting more and more difficult to see, so he turned out. He said the lockup actually caused the bike to "slide" to a stop!!!
It would not be an experience I would want to have!

The backup run was in the mid 180's, so the record will belong to the Costella-Gullett Streamliner. We will get official times and speeds and post as available.
Not enough time to swap out and go for the 350cc Fuel record, so will be back next week to try and get the 350cc fuel and try for some 500cc records.
Congratulations to Jack Costella for a "winning" design and to Cliff Gullett, who will go as fast the machine allows. Based on these last few weeks, the plan to acheive the total number of records looks to be in range and on target.....
