Last year we had problems with Verizon on the salt, since then I've changed to Cingular and we're going to see how well that works/doesn't work.

Verizon for me too, and trust me I've used is everwhere on the salt, and i have logged tons of HOURS of verizon service on the salt. HOWEVER, at the 12-13 mile its a little shaky. I am 100% satisfied with verizon and just wouldn't trust any other carrier at the moment. I know it works great...

I've used Alltel on the salt for years with no problems... It picks up a SLC cell tower (at least that's what shows on my bill) However, at El Mirage, service comes and gos........ Sorta like me.

Verizon also, Martyn and Trapper have T mobile, seems to work good if you don't drop your phone in the salt.  Girlfriend had Sprint, sucked, that was several years ago.

Thanks, Stan.  I've been away from the keyboard for a few days -- but it's nice to know that others keep an eye on things for me.  Yeah, I sure would like to know just what sucked - or who sucked -- or whom sucked whom, and better still, if it was a couple of years ago, what's he doing these days for entertainment?

PS  Our cellular provider is called "Cellular One", and I don't know whose towers they use out at Bville, but I do know that the service is fine.
