Nice.
Was it a concept in order to be built in 1963 or just an ideas thingy?
I wonder why it doesn't have aero spikes on the two wheel fairings as well...

In the sixties the chief designer (engineer) from Porsche was a man named Schmid. He got the idea for a hybrid record car. A jet engine which pushed the car with his exhaust forward (60 percent power) and in the same time the exhaust also moved a shovel wheel in the rear which turned the rear wheels (40 percent power) to keep the wheel powered rules from the FIA.
In 1960 he done a first concept and a scale model. After Donald Campbells crash at Bonneville in 1960 he modified the first concept into his second concept, the 1963 version which I built.
They start to built the car in Italy, but when the British goverment didn't allowed to sale one of his military jet engines for the racer (Donald Campbell was still trying to break the record for England..and the hell of it) to keep Campbell's chance for his attempt, the project was stopped.
I don't know what happend with the existing parts.
