Looking forward to speed week
« on: March 12, 2007, 10:58:35 PM »
1st post....wanted to check in and introduce myself.

2003 Turbocharged Hayabusa never been land speed raced legally. I'm here to glean from the wisdom of the sports elite.

Thirty+ years of Drag Racing, some dirt etc...Plan on making August go around. Check is in the mail to BNI.

Welcome!

Rumor has it rule books are slowly being sent out, although all my mail box is filled with is bills and junk so far.

There are lots of experienced people around and lots of good info in these forums to keep you busy in the meantime.

Have you sorted out what class you will run in, estimated speed?

KR, Cut the kid a little slack, everyone thinks his Busa will do 250 and we all know everyone has the balls to do it. Welcome to the land of fast everything, cars, bikes, and minds. John

32 years starting at Irwindale in 74, Dad a lot longer, he is fine by the way, thanks for asking.

I'm thinking this ghetto bar bike is good for 200 and that will do for this year. Need more cubic dollars for anything near 240...balls are for procreating...this takes money.

Biggest challenge is finding a place to stay, guess I'll rent an RV out of Salt Lake.

RC and Kent, so I guess you must know each other and have a long standing friendship, those are easy to develop in all types of racing
