There should be away to indicate "all of the above" or least more than one.

Well it may be more then one answer, but which is most important or which is at top of list...

If you include all then you cant find a true answer to why people wont go...

IMHO.

Will put the time, $$$, and effort into the car.  When we think it is ready to make a decent run [not for a couple of years] we will find a way to make it even if it means camping and or a commute to Wells or someplace else.

Camped and commuted to Oasis in '71, and camped and commuted to Wells in '72 [Oasis dried up sometime in between].  Jack thought the Patio was old and well tried, Oasis had a nickel jukebox with Patti Page and the Tennessee Waltz, often wondered what happened to the jukebox.  No West Wendover then except half the Stateline and Jim's, less entrants and spectators but also a lot less rooms and don't remember any opening up at mid week.  No KOA or Smith's for showers, just the ballfield or gulch [where we camped] for camping.  We felt lucky to have the Interstates to do the 44-45 hr straight throughs compared to Fran Bannister needing 4 or 5 days [with over night breaks] to drive his roadster out on the 2 lanes in '50 to run.  Problems then, problems now, and probably be problems when we get to go back, all part of the "fun".  Passage of time on the body has dictated NO MORE STRAIGHT THROUGH DRIVES/TOWS OF THAT DISTANCE though!

Looking forward to that first Bend in the Road gathering for us as well as heading down the course again.

Best wishes for good salt and safe and fast '07 meets for everyone.
