I've shipped my streamliner sidecar over from the UK, would Tech give it a look over without entering, $800 to not race due to an issue is rather hard to swallow

In my experience SCTA tech is there to help -they want you to race. Especially if someone is coming in from another country. But the safety rules are 'written in blood', so, in your honest opinion, has your liner met the minimum level of safety spelled out in the rulebook?

Yes, the motorcycle tech crew will look your vehicle over as they do with all fresh builds and new entries.
They are committed to your safety and will help you connect all the dots.
Since you have a Streamliner, you'll have the Special Construction Committee involved as well.

My partial stream line bodywork was failed at ECTA  spring fling. The inspector did his job.

Ian, if your plan is SpeedWeek, you are in luck... you do not need to be entered to be inspected.  If you did enter, and didn't pass tech, you could sell your entry to someone else or you can sell it back to the BNI less the course prep fee. 
OK, check with the SCTA/BNI to confirm, but it was that way in the past.

Since you didn't say it landed on the left coast or the right coast your options will be different for getting it inspected. The USFRA Test & Tune is scheduled for the end of June, they will tech it for you & that will give you a month to make any changes you might need before SW plus you'll also get a chance to shake it down.
